Primero fue una rueda de verdad. First it was a real wheel.

Synctropy empezó como un objeto: una maquinaria de engranajes construida a mano por una familia en un taller sudamericano, a fines de los noventa, para cruzar sistemas simbólicos que cada tradición miraba por separado. Después se supo que la idea tenía un pariente de dos mil años: el Mecanismo de Antikythera, la computadora astronómica griega rescatada de un naufragio en 1901. Synctropy began as an object: a machine of gears handbuilt by a family in a South American workshop in the late 1990s, to cross symbolic systems that each tradition looked at separately. Later it turned out the idea had a two-thousand-year-old relative: the Antikythera Mechanism, the Greek astronomical computer recovered from a shipwreck in 1901.
